Rex enjoyed a lucrative career, including being rated one of the top 3 Elvis Impersonators in the world in the late 70's. He was asked to perform at "The Coco Palms" in Kauai (where Elvis shot the movie "Blue Hawaii"). This was Elvis's hide-away and Rex soon became a favourite of the Coco Palms Resort.
In the early 80's, Rex turned his career in a different direction and recorded his first Country Music Album. His success in the mid 80's, lead him to the Nashville scene and into the hearts anad homes of millions. He aired two successful Music Videos on "THE NASHVILLE NETWORK".
Rex still performs across North America and enjoys performing for Seniors, Service Clubs and Special Events on his off time. Also available is Rex’s lastest CD's entitled
" 23 Unforgetable Love Songs "
" A Rex Stone Christmas "
" Memories Of The King Vol 1 "
" Memories Of The King Vol 2 "

"A very talented Canadian, with a heart as big as his Music".
That was a headline published about a show He had performed. He really liked what it said because he felt it was true: " I have a huge heart and a talent that only God could have given me. I have always used it to the best of my ability to entertain and bring musical joy to the lives of people. I am "the salt of the earth" kind of guy, and have always hoped that someday my gift could be used to bring joy to less fortunate people, especially children!
I observed a very sad reality in our world, that of terminally ill children: and learned about the great organization that helps them, called "The Children’s Wish Foundation". It has been my intent to help in any way I can. Too bad I wasn’t a rich man, for if I were, terminally ill children would have every opportunity possible to live out their short lives in joy and happiness.
I started singing at the tender age of 3. I had an old shoe box that my dad put together with a tree twig and I used to sing, tap my feet, and strum to this old Gidar (as I called it). I’m sure I drove everyone nuts but my mother used to say that I would be a country singer one day. We came from a poor Eastern province but were never poor in the sight of God and his love. My momma took all us kids to church every Sunday and at age 5, our minister turned to my momma and said ”I want that boy in the Junior Choir next Sunday morning”. I was singing solos in a very prominent, area choir by the age of 6. "
This led to the Snyders Male Chorus, and on to some area Musical production groups in which Rex landed some lead roles in such productions as The HMS Pinafore. By the age of 16 Rex became lead singer for a group called Caberet. This group was a favourite in his home county area and was very successful. He later formed a spin off from this group and continued his successful career in a show band setting.
As a songwriter and entertainer, he became an integral part of Shotgun Records and produced a number of singles, which aired throughout Canada and the US. The success of these singles created an opportunity for two Musical Video’s which were eventually aired by popular demand, on the Nashville Network, for a two year span. Rex toured the United States, and performed approximately 14 years in such places as the Grand Old Opery, The Coco Palms Resort in Hawaii, and Las Vegas. In 1987, due to personal reasons Rex left his dreams behind and returned home. He established a group called The Troubadours and performed with them until they were up and running.
Rex always wanted to produce a heart-felt Christmas CD of his own. In 1998, RS Productions was created, and his first Christmas CD soon followed. It was a copulation of many years of work and featured some of his earliest writings, from the age of 12. Rex soon found a way to generate some monies to donate to his cause and the following year, was able to produce a second Christmas CD, from which he donated everything above his production costs to the Children’s Wish Foundation. His plan for the year 2008, is to include area musicians and create another Christmas CD. He would like to step- up the effort and do so, on a much grander scale. This will take many months to produce and he is in need of some help and encouragement. His hope is that you will purchase his CD, which will enable him to bring some joy to these terminally ill children. You too, can play a part in providing a dream come true for them!
